Designed and Built for Activate Games, this project is a 12,200 total square foot high-tech, interactive entertainment facility renovation in a retail center.

The 12,200 SF renovation of a high-tech, interactive entertainment facility within a retail center showcases innovative design tailored for immersive experiences. This project involved the transformation of various spaces, including a welcoming lobby area with waiting space and an iPad station featuring custom millwork. The facility's centerpiece is the Game Hub, which houses 14 individual rooms equipped with interactive accent lighting, LED channeling, and electronic flooring for enhanced engagement. Additional functional spaces include a break room, storage/IT room, photo room, and modern restrooms.

The design incorporates a mix of exposed and drop ceilings, with elements such as dryfall paint decks, acoustic ceiling tiles, and drywall. Premium finishes throughout the facility include vinyl composite tile, luxury vinyl tile, carpet-bonded foam roll flooring, ceramic tile in restrooms, and powder-coated stainless steel millwork. Energy-efficient systems are emphasized, including the installation of two new rooftop units to supplement existing HVAC systems, energy-efficient plumbing, and advanced electrical work like dedicated quad receptacles and a speaker system.

The lighting design integrates decorative linear fixtures, high bay and can lights, alongside interactive elements tailored to the entertainment environment. Preconstruction services encompassed architectural and engineering design, permitting, MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) design, and full design-build delivery, ensuring a seamless execution of this state-of-the-art facility upgrade.
