Designed and built for Alpine Food Distributing, this warehouse is a 116,766-total-square-foot freezer/cooler distribution facility renovation.

This 116,000 SF cold storage facility renovation is designed to enhance efficiency in food storage, processing, and distribution. The project includes a 59,000 SF dry warehouse for ambient storage, a 31,000 SF -10°F freezer for frozen goods, and a 10,000 SF convertible cooler that can maintain temperatures between -10°F and 40°F for versatile storage needs. A dedicated 8,000 SF 40°F cold dock streamlines loading and unloading operations, while a 2,500 SF 40°F production cooler is designed specifically for produce processing.

The facility is equipped with 15 dock positions and a drive-in ramp to support high-volume distribution. A 2,000-amp electrical service ensures reliable power for refrigeration and operations. With a 26’6” clear height, the warehouse maximizes vertical storage capacity, improving efficiency and optimizing space utilization. A transcritical CO2 refrigeration system provides sustainable and energy-efficient temperature control. The production space features a sloped floor slab with trench drains to support sanitation and drainage requirements.

A 6,000 SF office space accommodates administrative and logistics operations, supporting overall facility management. This renovation modernizes the facility’s infrastructure, enhancing cold storage capabilities while improving workflow, efficiency, and sustainability.
