ARCO’s Kansas City division recently completed a 55,158 SF cold storage facility expansion for repeat client Performance Food Group. Located in Lee’s Summit, Missouri, the project expands Performance Food Group’s distribution capabilities with a 34,458 SF dry warehouse, 8,755 SF -10°F freezer, and 28°F and 34°F coolers totaling 8,099 SF.
The project comes in response to Performance Food Group’s continued growth and need for additional capacity. Performance Food Group expects the project to create more local jobs, including positions for drivers, warehouse workers, office staff, and sales associates. The newly expanded facility will service customers in multiple states, including Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Nebraska.
Additional facility features include a 3,846 SF break room addition, 27’ clear height, insulated metal panel construction, and a commercial freon split refrigeration system.
With a partnership spanning more than 20 years, this is just one of more than 35 projects ARCO and Performance Food Group have partnered to complete.
