ARCO COMPLETES 1,000,350 SF PHARMA-GRADE FACILITY WITH ACCELERATED SCHEDULE FOR DHL

ARCO recently completed a 1,000,350 SF pharmaceutical distribution facility for repeat client DHL! Located in East Manchester Township, Pennsylvania, the multi-tenant facility is home to two top pharmaceutical company end users, Bayer and GSK. The pharma-grade facility features multiple temperature zones, office space for each tenant and high hazard storage.
The ARCO team faced a number of weather-related challenges, including an atypical amount of rainfall and multiple snowfalls. Additionally, the East Manchester Township site presented with challenging constraints, requiring significant rock blasting and 50′ – 60′ grade changes.
The site also required road improvements, as well as utility upgrades including 12,000 AMP electrical service.
Despite the challenging site constraints and adverse weather conditions ARCO delivered the project within the accelerated schedule – 11 months from start to completion – allowing the tenants to occupy the facility in time for the upcoming flu season.
