Designed and built for NorthPoint Development, the General Motors project is a 842,940-total-square-foot automotive component manufacturing and distribution facility.
This 842,940 SF automotive component manufacturing and distribution facility features 132 dock positions, designed to handle high-volume logistics and material flow. The facility is equipped with one air change per hour facilitated by 24’ HVLS fans throughout the warehouse, ensuring effective ventilation and air circulation. A generator backup supports the 8,000-amp electrical service and a 200 HP fire pump, providing reliability and safety in the event of power disruptions.
The warehouse is illuminated by 100 FC lighting, with a full lighting protection system to safeguard against electrical hazards. A 24,000 SF office area is integrated, offering space for administrative functions. The facility has a comprehensive access control system, ensuring security across the site.
The FM 90 roof system and a full FM/AON fire protection system add to the safety and durability of the building. The structure includes five overhead drive-thru doors for efficient vehicle access. Built using tilt-up concrete construction, the facility has a 32’ clear height, providing ample vertical space for storage and manufacturing operations.
The site is positioned for growth, with an opportunity to expand by 300,000 SF and add 466 parking spaces on the 64-acre site, making it adaptable for future needs and large-scale automotive manufacturing and distribution projects.
