Designed and Built for Latitude 36 Foods, this project is a 42,215 total square foot 36°F box-in-box cooler.
This 42,215 SF 36°F box-in-box cooler is a state-of-the-art cold storage facility designed for precision, efficiency, and adaptability. With a 32’ clear height, the space is optimized for large-scale storage, accommodating up to 540,000 lbs. of temperature-sensitive products, including nuts, cranberries, cheese, and dressing. The project features eight new dock positions, each outfitted with 35,000 lb. vertical hydraulic levelers, under-leveler seals, and dock swing lights to streamline loading and unloading operations.
The refrigeration system is powered by four roof-mounted condensing units and eight evaporators using Freon, ensuring reliable temperature control. Partial demolition of the existing foundation enabled the installation of four new dock pits and condensate systems. The 800-amp electrical service supports the entire operation, which is protected by an ESFR fire suppression system for enhanced safety.
This facility blends robust infrastructure with advanced technology, emphasizing efficiency and reliability. By integrating specialized systems and tailoring its design to client needs, the cooler ensures seamless operations for storing and distributing a diverse range of products.
