Temescal Wellness

Designed and built for Temescal Wellness, this project is a 71,400-total-square-foot marijuana grow facility renovation.

This 71,400 SF marijuana cultivation facility underwent a comprehensive renovation to optimize production and integrate advanced automation technology. The facility's design includes a 61,800 SF production area, featuring a 23,500 SF plant canopy, and a dedicated 9,600 SF office space. With a 14-foot clear height, the facility supports efficient layout configurations and vertical grow setups, while the upgraded 4,000-amp electrical service supplies robust power for all operations.

Designed for durability and cleanliness, epoxy flooring was installed throughout, providing a resilient, easy-to-maintain surface. The lighting system was outfitted with 1,376 specialized LED grow lights, ensuring optimal light intensity and energy efficiency across the cultivation space. The facility also features a -20°F freezer and freeze-drying vault for product preservation and storage.

A sophisticated Building Management System (BMS) was integrated to allow precise monitoring and control of HVAC, lighting, fertigation, and other automated systems. Automation equipment installation includes a flower packaging line, fertigation system, movable grow benches, a pot filler, transplanter, and table return crane, which streamline planting, growth, and harvesting processes, reducing labor and enhancing output.

To accommodate this advanced equipment and lighting, structural upgrades were made to the existing building, ensuring it can support the modern infrastructure. This extensive renovation has transformed the facility into a cutting-edge cultivation hub, emphasizing efficiency, control, and scalability in the cannabis industry.
