ARCO COMPLETES DISTRIBUTION FACILITY FOR KENCO AND SHELL LUBRICANTS

ARCO recently completed a 507,000 SF distribution facility for Kenco Logistics and end-user client Shell Lubricants in Burgettstown, PA! The Scannell Properties development marks the first major milestone between Shell Lubricants and Kenco Logistics, North America’s leading third-party logistics provider.
Kenco configured the space, built systems and implemented equipment to maximize efficiency within the facility. Kenco is also supplying Shell with tools for labor management, reporting and integration.
Perhaps most noteworthy is the positive impact that the new facility will have on the local community and surrounding region. The strategic location will notably reduce previous transportation expenses and provide quicker access to inventory for customers and OEM customers throughout the area. Due to its projected 11 percent increase in existing customers within a 1-day delivery range, the facility will greatly reduce driver risk for the local community. Additionally, an expected 1 million road miles will be removed due to the new customer-centric location, resulting in an estimated 1500 metric ton reduction of CO2 emissions from on-road transport.
